Water: la literalidad del concepto “isla” y de la ubicación escogida en el centro del estanque del parque -en este caso península- hace que el agua sea el elemento protagonista de la propuesta.
You: el objetivo es generar un espacio interactivo, en el que el habitante sea un agente activo dentro de un espacio que cambia según sus decisiones. El usuario toma conciencia al ser parte de la arquitectura. No es un parque más, es un ambiente que atrae y genera conciencia climática.
Doing: se trata de construir, de actuar, de levantar un espacio que actúe de colchón climático. Las estrategias sostenibles en la concepción de la propuesta, como la reutilización de las aguas pluviales, la utilización de materiales duraderos y de proximidad, el principio de mínima intervención y la selección de especies vegetales autóctonas contribuyen a atenuar las causas del cambio climático. La utilización del agua, pavimentos blandos y frescos, y la vegetación como elemento de sombra contribuyen a paliar sus consecuencias. La modulación, simplicidad constructiva y flexibilidad de la propuesta, permite y facilita la expansión del modelo para poder seguir haciendo -doing- islas climáticas, que se puedan interconectar con disposiciones lineales generando corredores ecológicos para transformarlas en auténticos continentes.

Water: The literal interpretation of the concept of “island” and the chosen location in the center of the park’s pond— in this case, a peninsula—makes water the main element of the proposal.
You: The goal is to create an interactive space where the inhabitant is an active agent within a space that changes according to their decisions. The user becomes aware by being part of the architecture. It is not just another park; it is an environment that attracts and raises climate awareness.
Doing: It is about constructing, acting, and creating a space that serves as a climate buffer. Sustainable strategies in the design of the proposal, such as the reuse of rainwater, the use of durable and locally sourced materials, the principle of minimal intervention, and the selection of native plant species, all contribute to mitigating the causes of climate change. The use of water, soft and cool pavements, and vegetation as shade elements help alleviate its consequences. The modularity, constructive simplicity, and flexibility of the proposal enable and facilitate the expansion of the model to create more climatic islands that can be interconnected with linear arrangements, generating ecological corridors to transform them into true continents.
